On 27 November 2025, the final session of the DLT Seminar Series convened online via Microsoft Teams, bringing the programme to a successful close. The session featured Kodey Kilday-Thomas from Chainlink Labs, who presented on ‘Solving the Oracle Problem.’ The talk provided a clear and accessible exploration of how oracle technologies, in particular the Cross Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and the Off‑Chain Reporting protocol (OCR), enable smart contracts to reliably connect with real-world data, and enable secure cross-chain communication.

The presentation was followed by a networking and careers advice session that outlined practical pathways for students and professionals seeking to break into web three roles.

This series was delivered as part of the UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies, in collaboration with the UK Centre for Blockchain Technologies, and backed by Exponential Science. That support reflects one of Exponential Science’s founding principles: providing high-quality education around emerging technologies by partnering with leading academic and industry stakeholders to equip the next generation with expert knowledge.

Over the course of the series, participants were exposed to a broad spectrum of distributed ledger technology topics, from distributed systems design to privacy-preserving zero-knowledge proofs, from tokenisation and finance to blockchain security, and finally to oracle design and cross-chain interoperability. The series has delivered deep technical insight, fostered thoughtful discussion, and helped bridge the gap between academic theory and practical industry developments.

Thanks are extended to all speakers for their contributions, and to all participants for their engagement. Exponential Science will continue supporting similar initiatives in the future as part of its commitment to education and innovation.
