Exponential Science is a foundation led by visionary founders Dr. Paolo Tasca and Nikhil Vadgama, who have advanced emerging technologies through education, research, and innovation. Recognising the power of the convergence of technologies such as blockchain, AI, and IoT to tackle complex multidisciplinary challenges, they founded the Exponential Science as a natural evolution of their long-standing work, aiming to strive towards a more inclusive and innovative future for all.

Paolo Tasca

Prof. Paolo Tasca is a digital economist specialising in distributed systems, systemic risk, CBDCs, and Web3. Published 70+ peer‑reviewed articles in top academic journals with 4,000+ citations. As part of University College London, founded and directed the award-winning UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies—the world’s largest research hub on blockchain and now serves as Executive Director of the UK Centre for Blockchain Technologies, a joint initiative of UCL, Oxford University and the University of Birmingham. Previously served as Lead Economist for digital currencies and P2P systems at the Deutsche Bundesbank in Frankfurt. A serial entrepreneur and patent holder in blockchain interoperability.

Nikhil Vadgama

Nikhil Vadgama serves as the Programme Director of the award-winning Master in Financial Technology at University College London, and as the Deputy Director of the UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies. With extensive experience working with global stakeholders from government, industry, and central banks, Nikhil's background spans a variety of roles in the fintech, real estate, and education sectors including launching a challenger Bank in the UK, Europe and US.
