Role Summary
Exponential Science is seeking a highly skilled Senior Marketing & Communications Manager to lead, produce, and coordinate all content and communications across Exponential Science projects. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, exceptional writing skills, strong visual sensibility, and hands-on execution ability. This role owns content planning, brand storytelling, channel growth, and multi-format content production, working closely with internal teams and external creative partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Strategy & Execution
- Develop and maintain a content plan across all Exponential Science projects - by collecting plans, details and updates from stakeholders.
- Write, edit, and publish high-quality content: blogs, learn articles, news updates, project features, reports, event summaries, social media copies, media articles and press releases.
- Translate complex technical topics (DLT, blockchain, AI, digital transformation) into clear, engaging narratives.
- Ensure content and visuals follow a high standard, and are aligned with brand voice, tone, and quality guidelines.
Social Media Ownership (X + LinkedIn + Youtube)
- Manage and grow the organisation’s presence on LinkedIn, X and Youtube - including daily posting, community management, analytics and reporting.
Develop growth strategies: content formats, storytelling, influencer/partner interactions, experimentation. - Monitor performance and optimise based on insights.
Branded Assets & Multimedia Production
- Act as lead coordinator between Exponential Science and designers, photographers, videographers, editors and motion graphic artists.
- End-to-end ownership of creation of digital and physical branded assets (event media, pitch decks, posters, videos, motion, photos, collateral).
Produce fast-turnaround Canva assets when needed (social tiles, announcements, event creatives).
Ensure brand consistency across all channels.
Newsletter & Email Marketing
- Own the full newsletter workflow: collect newsworthy activity from teams, maintain an internal pipeline of updates, draft and design each edition, ensure internal alignment before release, and publish on a regular and planned cadence.
- Experience with email marketing and outreach, including managing templates, segmenting audiences, maintaining and cleaning mailing lists, and producing high-quality outreach campaigns.
- Ability to work with Streak, Mailchimp, and similar CRM/email tools; capable of building scalable workflows.
- Can design and update email templates (newsletters, announcements, event invites, outreach sequences).
Campaign Management & Analytics
- Plan and execute paid and organic campaigns across LinkedIn, X, and emails.
- Track performance (including media mentions), optimise creatives and copy, and report results to leadership.
Support content funnels for events, education programmes, hackathons, and partner initiatives.
Cross-Team Coordination & Project Support
- Work with project leads and team to gather inputs, align messaging, and ensure all initiatives are accurately represented.
- Lead internal and external visual production workflows (briefs, timelines, approvals).
- Manage content calendars, deadlines, asset storage, review and approval process, and documentation.
Quality & Organisation
- Maintain a rigorous standard for copy, visuals, and brand coherence.
- Ensure all content is delivered on time and to specification.
Uphold high organisational discipline and resilience in a fast-moving, multi-project environment.
Required Skills & Experience:
Experience
- 5+ years in marketing, communications, content, or similar roles.
- Proven track record delivering content strategy + execution end-to-end.
- Demonstrated success in successful email marketing campaigns and growing LinkedIn and/or X channels for organisations.
- Experience coordinating with designers, video editors, photographers, and creatives.
Technical & Creative Skills
- Exceptional English writing (native-level or equivalent).
- Ability to simplify complex technical subjects into engaging content.
- Strong aesthetic judgment; ability to review and guide visual work.
- Proficiency in Canva; familiarity with Figma is a plus.
- Understanding of paid social campaigns (LinkedIn Ads, X Ads).
- Highly organised, reliable, and detail-oriented.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English Literature, or fields related to AI / Blockchain / Quantum Technologies.
- Strong independent writer and reader - does not rely heavily on AI to generate content but can use AI tools strategically and effectively.
Nice-to-Have
- Knowledge or interest in DLT, blockchain, AI, quantum.
- Experience in PR outreach, press placement, or media relations.
- Affinity for event marketing and experience supporting or promoting events.
Experience working within innovation, tech, or academic ecosystems.
