Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Investment Associate to support our investment team in sourcing, screening, and assessing early-stage startups across Web3, AI, and Quantum sectors. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone looking to build experience in venture capital by playing a key part in deal flow management, market research, and due diligence coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Flow Support
- Review inbound pitch decks and funding requests; summarise key information for internal discussion.
- Assist in organising meetings with founders and tracking pipeline activity in our CRM.
- Conduct initial screening of companies based on sector fit, team, product, and traction.
Due Diligence & Research
- Support due diligence efforts by collecting, organising, and analysing company data.
- Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and basic technical/commercial assessments.
- Help prepare and update diligence materials for internal use.
Investment Committee Support
- Draft short investment briefs and internal reports to support decision-making.
- Assist senior team members in preparing full investment memos when required.
Ecosystem Mapping & Outreach
- Monitor emerging trends in blockchain, AI, and quantum spaces to identify promising sectors.
- Help maintain relationships with accelerators, founder networks, and research partners.
Portfolio and Admin Support
- Assist in tracking key metrics from portfolio companies.
- Coordinate follow-ups and information requests with portfolio teams as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of professional experience in venture capital, early-stage investing, consulting, banking, or a startup environment.
- Strong interest in emerging technologies, especially Web3, AI, and Quantum Computing.
- Solid research and analytical skills; comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Clear and concise communicator, both in writing and in person.
- Highly organised and reliable; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with startup ecosystems and investment processes is a plus.
