On 29 September 2025, Exponential Science Executive Chairman Paolo Tasca joined global leaders, innovators, and policymakers at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Headquarters in New York City for the High-Level Strategic Dialogue on Blockchain for Development.
Held on the margins of UNGA80, this was the first in a series of UNDP-led conversations designed to explore how blockchain can support sustainable and inclusive development worldwide. The dialogue marked an important step in building a shared vision for how decentralised technologies can advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through greater trust, transparency, and accountability.
Participants discussed pathways for collaboration and opportunities to co-design solutions that scale blockchain’s social impact. The outcomes from this initial dialogue will inform future work, including the potential formation of a Blockchain Advisory Group to guide continued cooperation and innovation.
