The session will explore how blockchain networks can be understood as distributed systems and how their underlying topology influences robustness, consensus, and transaction propagation across the network.

About the Speaker

Vito Tumas holds a PhD in blockchain technology from the University of Luxembourg, specialising in blockchain networking and DeFi protocols. He currently leads the design of the XRP Ledger Lending Protocol at Ripple. With a strong background in blockchain innovation, Vito focuses on advancing financial systems through decentralised and scalable technologies.
