Taskbar is a decentralized freelance marketplace and gig-economy platform built on the Hedera blockchain network. It connects clients with freelancers for on-demand tasks and services in a more efficient, transparent, and equitable Web3 environment. It acts as an alternative to traditional freelance websites by addressing issues such as high commission fees and slow payment settlements.

Taskbar facilitates payments in HBAR, USDC, and other Hedera-based tokens, enabling near-instant settlement directly to a freelancer's wallet. A key feature is its on-chain escrow system, where funds for a job are locked in a smart contract and released automatically upon successful completion of the task, ensuring security for both parties. It also boasts a gamified reputation system implemented to build trust and incentivize positive user behavior.

To enhance transparency and trust, Taskbar utilizes the Hedera Consensus Service (HCS) to create an immutable and auditable log of all critical platform activities, including task creation, proposals, and reviews. This forms the basis of a verifiable on-chain reputation system for freelancers.

HashLog

Hashlog is a data verification service that leverages the Hedera Consensus Service (HCS) to create immutable events or data logs. It enables applications and enterprises to submit messages to the HCS, where each message receives a consensus timestamp from the Hedera network, ensuring its integrity and order. This process provides a secure and transparent "proof-of-action" or "proof-of-event" capability.

Its core functionality offers a data trail for on-chain information. Once data is logged via Hashlog to the HCS, it cannot be altered or retrospectively tampered with, providing a high degree of data integrity. This is particularly useful for use cases requiring regulatory compliance, dispute resolution, or the tracking of critical operational processes. Developers integrate Hashlog systems using APIs or SDKs.

By utilizing Hedera, Hashlog provides decentralized trust, cryptographic verification, and public accessibility (if desired) for the logged information. Its applications span across multiple domains, including supply chain management for tracking goods, IoT data streams for device event verification, and legal tech for timestamping documents.

The Coupon Bureau

The Coupon Bureau is a non-profit, industry-managed organization established to modernize the coupon industry by creating a centralized data exchange for all stakeholders. The organization's primary mission is to combat coupon fraud, an issue estimated to cost the industry hundreds of millions of dollars annually, while also improving efficiency and the consumer experience.

At the heart of The Coupon Bureau's work is the development and implementation of the new Universal Coupon standard, also known as AI (8112). This new standard replaces the outdated barcode system with a more secure, serialized format for both digital and paper coupons. This allows for real-time validation of every coupon at the point of sale, effectively eliminating counterfeiting and ensuring that each coupon is used only once, as intended by the manufacturer. The platform, known as the Universal Positive Offer File, serves as this central repository for all coupon data, connecting manufacturers, retailers, and consumers in a seamless ecosystem.

The Coupon Bureau utilizes the Hedera Consensus Service (HCS) to create a tamper-proof, auditable log of every coupon's lifecycle. Each time a coupon is created, distributed, or redeemed, a transaction is recorded on the Hedera public ledger.
