HSociety is a decentralized social media platform developed by Societal Labs, a Web3 venture studio focused on building user-friendly decentralized applications (dApps). Capture App

Capture, by Numbers Protocol, is a Web3 camera application designed to combat digital fraud and establish verifiable provenance for photos and videos. It functions as the primary creation tool for the Numbers Protocol network, allowing users to generate digital media that is authentic, traceable, and secure from the moment of creation. The app is targeted at content creators, photographers, journalists, and anyone concerned with the integrity and ownership of their digital work in an age of AI-driven misinformation.

When a user takes a photo or records a video with the Capture App, it automatically embeds the content with rich, tamper-proof metadata. This includes critical information such as the creator's identity, a secure timestamp, and geolocation data. This entire package is then registered on a blockchain, creating an immutable "birth certificate" for the asset. This process adheres to the C2PA (Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity) standard, ensuring a high degree of trust.

This "Capture-secured" content provides a clear and verifiable history that travels with the asset, allowing anyone to confirm its origin and view any subsequent edits. Furthermore, the app provides a seamless, one-click process for users to mint their verified content as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on various blockchains.

Hala Systems

Hala Systems is a social enterprise founded in 2015 that develops advanced technology to protect civilians in conflict zones. Its mission is to reduce violence and provide accountability through the creation of early warning systems and tools for documenting war crimes.

The company's flagship product is Sentry, an AI-powered early warning system that predicts and warns civilians of impending threats, such as airstrikes. Sentry uses a network of remote sensors and real-time data to provide warnings, giving people crucial time to find safety. The system has been deployed in Syria, where it has been credited with significantly reducing casualties. In addition to its warning capabilities, Hala Systems also focuses on accountability, developing tools that allow for the secure collection of evidence of war crimes.

To ensure the integrity of the data collected, such as photos and videos of potential war crimes, Hala uses the Hedera Consensus Service (HCS) to create a tamper-proof and cryptographically secure record of the evidence. Each piece of media has its metadata logged on the Hedera network, creating a verifiable and immutable audit trail.

Karate Combat

Karate Combat is a unique experience combining professional martial arts with gaming and Web3 technology. It features a full contact karate league with fighters from various karate styles and, occasionally, other striking-based martial arts, compete in a unique, 6.5m x 6.5m "combat pit" with 45-degree angled walls that promote continuous action.   

A hallmark of Karate Combat is its innovative use of technology. Fights are streamed globally and feature immersive CGI environments created with the Unreal Engine, offering a visually distinct experience. The league is deeply integrated with Web3 technologies, and leverages the Hedera blockchain network. 

This integration includes the $KARATE token, which allows fans to participate in the "Up Only Gaming" system which rewards users for wins without forcing them to wager tokens. Through a dedicated mobile app, fans vote for fighters, potentially increasing the fighters' prize pools, and earn more $KARATE tokens if their chosen fighters win, without losing tokens for incorrect picks.   

Karate Combat’s unique combat system features rules emphasizing exciting, striking-based combat, with three-minute rounds and a scoring system that rewards aggression and effectiveness. It’s known for its fast-paced action, powerful knockouts, and unique presentation. 

Identity Snap (Metamask)

Identity Snap, developed by Tuum Technologies, is an open-source plugin that extends the functionality of MetaMask to include support for decentralized identifiers (DIDs) and verifiable credentials (VCs). This transforms MetaMask into a DID wallet, allowing users to manage their digital identities in a secure and self-sovereign manner.

The core of the Identity Snap service is its ability to create, manage, and verify DIDs and VCs directly within the MetaMask interface. It supports multiple DID methods, including did:pkh, did:key, and did:hedera, giving users a range of options for creating and controlling their digital identities. Key features include the ability to resolve DIDs to their corresponding DID documents, create and save VCs, and generate verifiable presentations (VPs) for sharing with other parties.

Identity Snap's did:hedera method allows users to anchor their digital identities on the Hedera public ledger, taking advantage of its high throughput, low fees, and robust security. The Hedera Consensus Service (HCS) is used to create a transparent and auditable record of all DID and VC events, ensuring the integrity and verifiability of the credentials.
