Pangolin is a community-driven, multichain decentralized exchange (DEX) that was initially launched in 2021. As a DEX, Pangolin facilitates the automated, peer-to-peer trading of digital assets through the use of smart contracts, eliminating the need for a central intermediary. The platform is designed to offer a user-friendly experience with fast settlement times and low transaction fees.

Pangolin's core service is providing a platform for token swaps, where users can trade a wide variety of digital assets. In addition to simple swaps, It offers a range of decentralized finance (DeFi) tools, including liquidity pools, yield farming, and staking for its native governance token, PNG.

Originally built on Avalanche, Pangolin has expanded to become a multichain DEX, with deployments on several networks, including a significant integration with Hedera. This integration allows Hedera users to access a robust and established DEX for trading HTS tokens and other digital assets within the Hedera ecosystem.

Log4j

Apache Log4j is an open-source, Java-based logging utility used by developers to record application events, errors, and operational data. It is a popular tool for debugging, system monitoring, and conducting audits across myriad Java platforms.

In the Hedera ecosystem, the log4j2-hedera repository offers a specific integration for Log4j 2.x and provides a custom appender that enables recording of logged events directly to the Hedera network via the Hedera Consensus Service (HCS). This allows applications to interact with HCS to submit their log entries, effectively writing them onto Hedera's distributed ledger.

The primary benefits of this integration include ensuring that logged data is distributed, secure, and transparent providing provable security. Furthermore, it guarantees the integrity and immutability of the recorded log information, as each entry is validated by Hedera’s consensus mechanism. This specialized appender provides a robust solution for applications requiring verifiable, tamper-resistant logging. This use case is distinct from how Hedera's core network software and provides additional verification.

Flow Carbon

Flowcarbon is a climate technology company focused on the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM). Its mission is to make carbon markets more transparent, liquid, and accessible, through the use of blockchain technologies, thereby accelerating the flow of capital directly to projects that reduce or remove carbon emissions from the atmosphere. The company addresses critical inefficiencies in the traditional carbon market, such as opaque pricing, high transaction costs, and limited access for smaller participants.

The core of Flowcarbon's model is the tokenization of high-quality, verified carbon credits. Each token represents a real-world, certified tonne of carbon offset. This process creates a transparent and immutable record of ownership and transactions, enabling credits to be traded efficiently on digital marketplaces. One of the company’s initial token concepts was the Goddess Nature Token (GNT), designed as a liquid asset backed by a bundle of nature-based carbon credits.

By creating a more functional and efficient market infrastructure, Flowcarbon aims to provide project developers with faster access to financing and better price discovery. For buyers, from large corporations to individuals, it offers a more direct and transparent way to purchase credits and offset their carbon footprint.
