Hitachi America, Ltd., a subsidiary of the Japanese multinational conglomerate Hitachi, Ltd., is headquartered in Santa Clara, California. The company serves as a key component of Hitachi's global operations, driving innovation and business development across the Americas.

Hitachi America and its subsidiaries offer a vast and diverse portfolio of products and services organized under three core business structures: "Digital Systems & Services," "Green Energy and Mobility," and "Connective Industries." This includes enterprise-grade data storage and management solutions, cloud applications, and AI-driven platforms.

Hitachi America joined the Hedera Governing Council in 2024. As a council member, Hitachi lends its extensive industrial and technological expertise to the governance of the DLT. The company has explicitly stated its intent to create proof-of-concept solutions on Hedera, focusing initially on end-to-end supply chain management and sustainability initiatives. By leveraging Hedera's secure, scalable, and energy-efficient network, Hitachi aims to enhance transparency and accountability in complex industrial workflows, from manufacturing and logistics to clean energy and IT/OT systems.

Nature Collectibles

Porini Foundation Nature Collectibles is an initiative by the Swiss-based Porini Foundation that leverages blockchain technology to create a sustainable funding model for nature conservation. The project aims to connect a global community of collectors with real-world conservation efforts, providing a transparent and direct way to support the protection of endangered species and their habitats.

At the core of the initiative are Nature Collectibles, which are unique digital representations of a species, also known as NFTs for Conservation (NFTCs). Each collectible is a "digital twin" of a real animal and is linked to a specific, on-the-ground conservation project in a protected area. These digital assets can be purchased, collected, and traded through a dedicated mobile app. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the initial sale of a Nature Collectible go directly to the conservation actors in the field, with the Porini Foundation covering all transaction fees.

The entire Nature Collectibles ecosystem is built on the Hedera network. The Hedera Token Service (HTS) is used to mint the NFTs, ensuring their uniqueness and providing a secure and transparent record of ownership. All transactions are recorded on the Hedera public ledger, allowing donors to see their contributions in real-time.

Hyphen

Hyphen is a technology firm dedicated to quantifying the true value of natural capital in real-time through building trust and accountability within carbon markets. It endeavors to make carbon markets a consistently viable and transparent financial instrument.

Hyphen’s operations feature an advanced atmospheric-based digital monitoring, reporting, and verification (aMRV) solution. This system features proprietary aMRV software that precisely quantifies greenhouse gas (GHG) flux data using on-site scientific instrumentation such as Eddy Covariance Towers.

The Hyphen platform ensures security through its incorporation of digital ledger technology (DLT) on the Hedera blockchain network. It leverages Hedera's immutable ledger to create secure, auditable records for GHG data and the entire MRV lifecycle. This is crucial for ensuring the verifiability of environmental data, enhancing the integrity of carbon credits, and addressing historical challenges of opacity in carbon accounting.

Hyphen’s offerings, including geospatial GHG data streams and Enterprise dMRV solutions, primarily target project developers and global carbon offsetters. By integrating its scientific MRV approach with Hedera’s capabilities, Hyphen aims to deliver verified climate intelligence and to foster a global financial system that effectively supports sustainable practices.

Medical Value Chain (MVC)

Medical Value Chain (MVC) is a Bahrain-based subsidiary of AVC Global. It provides a track-and-trace platform for pharmaceutical supply chains to ensure regulatory compliance and combat counterfeit drugs. MVC's innovative financial model is funded by the pharmaceutical industry, meaning there is no cost to governments or citizens.

MVC's core product is the SmartPass, a platform built on a dual-blockchain architecture that integrates with GS1 global serialisation standards. This technology creates a transparent and immutable record of pharmaceutical products as they move through the supply chain, from manufacturer to consumer. SmartPass is designed to provide "absolute transparency," protecting against counterfeit medications, improving supply chain efficiency, and reducing fraud. A key component of this system is the OneScan feature, which allows for the verification of product authenticity.

The company utilises the Hedera Consensus Service (HCS) to create a verifiable and auditable log of all supply chain events. This "dual immutable distributed ledger technology" provides a high level of security and transparency, ensuring the integrity of the data.

Stader Labs

Stader Labs is a multi-chain liquid staking platform that provides a secure and efficient way to earn staking rewards while maintaining asset liquidity. It was launched in 2021 and has since extended its services across several major blockchain networks, including Hedera where it offers a liquid staking solution centered around the HBARX token.

When users stake HBAR tokens through Stader's platform, they receive HBARX, a liquid token representing their staked HBAR. This mechanism allows HBAR holders to continue participating in the DeFi ecosystem with HBARX, engaging with protocols including SaucerSwap and HeliSwap for additional yield opportunities, while still accruing staking rewards. The HBARX token is designed to increase in value relative to HBAR as staking rewards accumulate in the pool, with an auto-compounding feature managed at the smart contract level.

Stader Labs emphasizes security, subjecting its smart contracts to multiple third-party audits from firms such as Halborn, Peckshield, and Sigma Prime. The platform's architecture on Hedera aims to contribute to network decentralization by distributing staked HBAR across various nodes.
